Was the rendering program changed? Imagemagick? Now roads are drawn way ugly, and very different for straight horizontal or vertical lines than for slanted lines.
The fact that roads are no longer rendered for zoom < 11, and that for many tiles no roads at all are rendered (due to WMS timeouts? is this ticket#12 ?), is actually reducing the embarassment of the ugliness of these lines.
