I often have trouble selecting objects in Merkaartor. Why not allow me to input its ID in a text-based control?

Further, for relations, where the problem is most apparent:

• on the selection of any object, another control or menu item could become visible. It would allow me to add the selected object(s) to a relation ID (a picklist of recently edited relations with their names could be provided to aid recall).

• when I have a relation selected, text boxes could allow me to add members by ID.
