When loading new tiles (zooming or moving the map), strange red grids and tiles parts appear, melted. Sometimes, no map is shown even when all tiles are loaded.
As in ubuntu 9.10 64bits, maps tiles should load smoothly without display bugs."
I also saw/see this behavior in all svn/git revisions for several months -- even
under Ubuntu 9.10 64bits. If the original reporter did not see this behaviour with
9.10 he was probably using 0.13.2.
A workaround for me is to enable "Show downloaded areas". As this forces merkaartor to
initialize the whole viewport somehow I could imagine that the bug is related to how
qt issues its paint commands to the xorg / xorg driver (intel 82G965 in my case).
But in the video "Show downloaded areas" seems to be enabled and the bug still occurs.

Ubuntu 10.04 bundles 0.14+svnfixes~20090912-2build1. 9.10 seems to have used 0.13.2.
