Hello

Just now there are two colors? Green for nodes of selected way and red square for selected node.

P1 has another color (black) for nodes wearing tags (and being member of relations?), also if not selected. So I have the wish that p2/wireframe also has another color for such nodes again ;-)

Sometimes I'm searching the beginning node of an area. It's difficult to find. P1 had also different marker for nodes at crossings with other ways. It is a wish for P2 to mark them different AND a little bit different start and end of selected way.

If another way uses same nodes than it may stay black also if selected, because the other way is above of it. Changeable?? Because green nodes don't have much contrast with bing at background, it's often not easy to follow the way ...

There are a few separate requests, so let's break them up, in order to not lose track.

  1. Mark nodes with tags distinctly (I have added this in [25249])
  2. Mark nodes with relations distinctly (is this supported in MapCSS/Halycon?)
  3. Mark beginning/ends of ways distinctly (I don't think MapCSS supports this yet)
  4. Mark junction nodes distinctly (ditto)
  5. I'm not quite sure what is being requested in the last paragraph.

2 would be a simple descendant selector: just 'relation node { color: shocking_pink; } '

3 is not supported.

4 is supported and is used in the standard P2 interactive stylesheet: 'node :junction :selectedway { z-index: 8; icon-image: square; icon-width: 12; casing-color: black; casing-width: 1; layer: 5; }'

I don't understand 5 either!

So I give an exampe ;-)

Way A has nodes 1, 2, 3

Way B has nodes 2, 3, 4

Selecting way A will change its color to red on its whole length, but selecting way B will change only the color of the part between node 3 and 4 to red

Or

Selecting way B will change its color to red on its whole length, but selecting way A will change only the color of the part between node 1 and 2 to red

It depends on which way is above the other one ...

All nodes are changing to green, but may be not the whole way to red.

Thanks for the changes already solved!

Hmm, in my tests, either segment [1,2] goes red, or [3,4] goes red - but never the bit in between. Either way, it seems to be a bug.

Anyway, one question to resolve: should the highlighted object always show above other objects? That is, should it temporarily be raised to the highest layer?
