Currently any entity that has tags that match more than one map feature will display as either one or the other. For example, "highway=tertiary, railway=tram" will, depending on the order of map_features.xml, have editing features for the tram, or the road, but not both, in the simple view.
Various options present themselves:
open multiple instances of the simple view if multiple matches are found
have one instance, with a drop down to choose between the different features
merge the features, with a name like "Tertiary Road and Tramway". Each tab would contain all the controls relevant to either feature.
