Hi,
in Mapnik the icon for Hindu Place_of_worship (nodes and areas tagged as religion=hindu) is not rendered correctly.
The current rendering is a square bullet instead of the icon listed in the religion tag rendering list [http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Religion]

This is affecting most of the place of worship in India - at least - therefore is a major issue.
Thanks!
Edolis

I can confirm this issue in Sri Lanka too. It is an important issue as there are many temples and then the map is then covered with "ugly" square bullet that are meaningless. See here for instance: http://www.openstreetmap.org/?lat=7.70787&lon=81.69444&zoom=17&layers=M
Is there a way to help with a patch?
