After loading a gpx-file I always have to use "Download from web" (and go through the dialog) once before the menu-item "Download more" gets activated. It would be nice if 'download more' would always just work (maybe after checking that the currenct active area isn't too big).

Oh and by the way - is "Download from web" really the right term here? Maybe just "Download" or "Download from OSM"?

More than agreed. I can't even think of a reason why I didn't implement it that way right from the start...

Currently it is not possible to "Download more" raw tracks from the server, even if the initial "Download from web" had that option clicked.

I just stumbled over one more issue which seems to be related:

  1. download some data somewhere
  2. Choose File->New
  3. Choose File->Download more
  4. Merkaartor shows this dialog "Error downloading - The map could not be downloaded"
