Some of the peaks are rendered with a name, others are not. The data looks ok

   osm_id | natural | name
 -----------+---------+---------------
   26862737 | peak | CORNO NERO
  267976794 | peak | CUCAL
  267976756 | peak | PALE DI SANTA
  248951671 | peak | Cornacci
  253472816 | peak | Pisancae

The ones which don't show up have only a single word name so perhaps Mapnik is broken for these. I'll investigate further.

Is this still a problem? I checked it to day and all the peaks showed here names correctly.

This is fixed now. It was a combination of two problems:

  • A bug in Mapnik with handling wrapping text with no spaces
  • The vertical offset of the text was slightly too small causing some names to clash with the icon and getting dropped.
