For weeks now the slippy map is not usable due to big errors in the levels 6 to 11.

I fixed the tilesGen.pl script to download caption data again, but uploading the generated caption tiles does not result in new tile generation.

I tried to update oceantiles.dat to get rid of some lake errors in Africa, but whatever I do there seems be no chance to get the data on the server updated.

Actually the map is totally unusable in south east Germany and in neighboring countries due to "unknown type" tiles, which don't go away whatever I try.

Please fix this or at least make a description available how to fix it.

I assume you're talking about the osmarender layer...

I assume I talk about slippy map.
At least e.g. the URL
http://server.tah.openstreetmap.org/Browse/slippy/
suggest that.

Also it has nothing to do with the renderer itself, as rendering using tilesAtHome seems to work again. What is not working is the update mechanism. I thus changed back to slippy_map, as I'm pretty sure "osmarender" is a dead end for this report. There should be something like "map-server".

So when I fix the oceantiles and rerender that tile, it is correct, but the server still delivers land tiles for the lakes.

The levels below 12 aren't updated. I did yesterday a complete rerender request for a level 8 tile of spain (i.e. I request rerender of all the level 12 tiles in this tile) and also made the corresponding level 6 tile of spain. The display is still not correct.

The only improvement is that the "unknown type" tiles in central europe vanished in most levels, except in level 11 I think.

Still spain and nearly all of Africa is distorted and unusable.

The slippy_map category (and yes I know it is is badly named) is for problems with the OL slippy map on the main site, both general ones and mapnik layer ones.

All osmarender/t@h stuff goes in the osmarender category.

What about the new tilesathome category?

Hi, it seems that the problem occurs again. Zoom level 6-11 are unusable on center Europe with Osmarender (see [http://www.informationfreeway.org/?lat=45.631468046990676&lon=5.93224797940186&zoom=6&layers=B0000F000F] )
I don't know how to help on this topic more than just relating it.
Best!
