When using the applet with the tiled landsat / GPS points background, new GPS points are not be shown if the tiles in which they would appear are already cached.

The tiles in the cache affected by the addition of new points need to be invalidated. The same would be true for the 'view' interface on the addiction of new nodes and segments.

Does Squid have an API for this? Who knows?

Yes it's called squidclient and is a command line client, it uses a Squid specific HTTP method called "PURGE" too purge a specific URL.

The probem is tahat for each edit we need to calculate which tiles that needs to be updated, when a node at a specific Lat/Lon changes. We need someone to write that tool.
