Abandoned railway is not rendered in Osmarender #1268
Comments
Author: astrofreak85 Well, but everything that is taged with disused=yes is rendered e.g. |
Author: vrabcak According to the wiki, there is significant difference between disused (infrastructure in place) and abandoned railway (infrastructure removed). Tagging abandoned railway as disused is incorrect "tagging for the renderer". |
Author: osm[at]petschge.de If the rails have been removed it should not be rendered as railway IMHO. Btw: is other abandoned stuff rendered? |
Author: vrabcak Of course it should not be rendered the same way as railway, but i should be rendered. Abandoned railways exists in landscape and are usually clearly visible. They are rendered on commercial maps too. There are not yet any other abandoned stuff in map features (only several proposals). |
Author: osm[at]petschge.de I'm not saying that it should not be rendered at all. Just that it's going to be hard to find a suitable style. If you have go ideas (preferable in form of a patch for the osmarender rule-files g) that would be welcome. If the idea behind the style could be extended to other abandoned stuff is would be even better. |
Author: Mueck I added some experimentell rendering for highway/railway=(construction|)planned|disused|abandoned at zoom level 17. Not all dash-offset work fine, I fear ... |
Author: Mueck solved long time ago ;-) |
