[Submitted to the original trac issue database at 4.21pm, Wednesday, 29th October 2008]

Checking NMEA0183 data it shows: $GPGGA,101516.000,5002.9603,N,01427.5269,E,1,8,1.23,255.8,M,45.5,M,,*5B

But the Merkaartor shows lat: 50 0 02 S, lon: 14 0 27 W - that indicates some error in the interpretation of the NMEA0183 data as it should be lat: 50 02 57.6 N and lon: 14 27 31.6 E
