Take a very close look at the river going from the brige at "Mission"
eastbound and you'll see a small "river" within the "riverbank" with a
border in grey.
But westbound the small river is gone.
If you look at the tags you'll find that the western part has an
additional "natural=water" tag which is not correct in my point of view.
The eastern part is tagged correctly imho.
It's also interesting that the small "river" is not_present in zoom
levels >=13.

I just dicovered an interesting rendering artifact of "waterway=river"
within "waterway=riverbank".
You can find a good example at
