When trying to edit openstreetmap.org, the java applet loads, but then firefox crashes. This is in dapper, and I am using the AMD64 Ubuntu with j2re installed from multiverse.
I am not sure if this is relevent here, but Ubuntu haven't responded. The java is the blackdown 1.4 version

can you give a trace from the java console? hint: you'll need to get the firefox java console plugin thing

Oh, and if firefox crashes then it isn't OSM's fault, no content should be able to crash the browser but we'll help anyway...
