Osmarender does not currently render canal locks. Rendering them would mean adding a rendering for the tag "lock=yes" on either a short section of waterway or a single node in that waterway.
The correct icon is a V-shape pointed upstream, i.e. in the opposite direction to the way, as demonstrated here: http://www.chesterfield-canal-trust.org.uk/maps/Canal-map.jpg (Ideally, it would probably be a vector drawing.)

(In [18199]) Add rendering for nodes in waterways with lock=yes and ways with
lock=yes. Rendering assumes that the waterway is oriented along the
direction of flow. Fixes #1530.
Adds a small file for testing too.
