Osmarender seems to render bridleways in blue:
http://www.openstreetmap.org/?lat=54.54179&lon=-2.60385&zoom=15&layers=0B00FTF

This makes them look like streams. Perhaps light brown would be a better choice?

[Added to the original trac issue at 1.59pm, Saturday, 7th February 2009]

(In [13568]) Change bridleway core from blue to brown to make them look less like
waterways. Fixes #1555
