Since today morning I get '500 Internal Server Error' errors when I try to upload my changes to multiple nodes. I have split my osmChange files to smaller parts (as earlier too big files caused such problems), but it did not help this time.

Intermittent 500 errors like this (where the same changeset does eventually upload) are generally due to requests timing out on the server due to load issues.
When this ticket was opened we were still working to resolve load issues following the upgrade to API 0.6 but over the last few days things have been running much more smoothly so hopefully you will no longer be seeing these problems.
If you do encounter further problems please reopen the ticket, or open a new one.
