multipolygons are not displayed correctly in mapnik, see here for an example (switch to t@h to see the difference):

I don't know if it helps: Display of those multipolygons seem to be ok up to zoom 13.

same problem here:
http://www.openstreetmap.org/?lat=51.16632&lon=13.67849&zoom=16&layers=B000FTF

but I think this is not a problem of multipolygons, but something with highway=pedestrian, area=yes wich seems to be rendered above building=yes, beginning on zoom 14 and above

this is probably a problem with the osm2pgsql import of the diffs, once the weekly import is done, it should be fixed until it is edited again.

If the multipolygon was working the render order would not be a problem.
There is a problem with multipolygons, similar problem here (no pedestrian, but island and lake, switch to t@h to understand):

No, that was just a sideeffect of not rendering every level at once. Now it is gone in low levels as well :(

unfortunately this doesn't seem to be the case, as the edit is from 3rd of May and the error is still persistent.

I changed the priority because this seems quite important to me.
