Many twitter profiles give their location as "iPhone: 50.146301,8.624611". Entering "50.146301,8.624611" or "50.146301 8.624611" in the search field of the osm.org homepage takes a long time and gives no result.

entering "50.146301 8.624611" in google maps works and shows you the correct location.

It would be great if we could add this functionality to osm homepage so I no longer need to use google map to look where people are located!

It should work, but it relies on the namefinder, and that seems to be giving errors at the moment.

I've now added an internal geocoder for lat/lon positions (in r14992) so this is no longer dependent on the namefinder.
