Areas with highway=pedestrian are rendered different in Merkaartor than on OSM
Example:
On OSM the center-lines of the area are used to render the pedestrian area.

In Merkaartor the outline of the highway is used to render the area.
This makes it hard to draw the pedestrian area correctly in OSM.
I would suggest that the same representation would be used as 'area=yes' 'building=yes'.
kind regards,
Egon
