Steps to reproduce, using live editing mode

  1. Find a way in OSM. A simple two node, nothing connected way works for this, as do more complex situations
  2. Click on an end node to extend the way
  3. Whilst you have the black rubber-band, press delete*.
  4. With the rubber-band still there, press enter
  5. The way disappears, but a yellow square appears in the origin
  6. Clicking anywhere causes the yellow square to disappear
  7. ... but moving the map (i.e. make another map call) and the way reappears

Ergo, it appears to delete the way, but doesn't really. Similar behaviour on offline mode, but pressing save says "nothing to delete". Trying to navigate away warns about unsaved changes though :-)

  • for N nodes in the way press delete N-1 times i.e. leave one node remaining.
