Glacier labels are cluttered when there is a lot of them in a small area.
Here's an example:

http://www.openstreetmap.org/?lat=46.406&lon=8.013&zoom=9&layers=B000FTF
(Swiss Alps in swiss "Valais" and italian Tirol)

I think the names must only be shown in z11-z17.

The font color could be changed too. It would be easier to read then.
