hmm. i looked at .js and .css before, only found some stuff about languagebar.
what meant, it would be nice to have an easy to use functionality for collapsible tables - something as simple as '{| class="wikitable collapsible"'. that doesn't seem to work on the osm wiki.
i looked at the languages template, and, well, for a non-coder it's a mess. i couldn't figure out how to use it properly, so i tried to copy those
tags, which sort of showed 'hide' link, which did nothing...
additionally, mediawiki examples show ability to collapse subtables, which is really desirable here - not sure whether/how that is possible with osm wiki currently.

it has been requested on talk-lv mailing list that collapsible tables should be supported (to be used in pages like http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/WikiProject_Latvia/Latvijas_pilstas).
according to http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Manual:NavFrame , code should be added to MediaWiki:Common.js and MediaWiki:Common.css pages.
