JOSM has a nice new feature for associating photos with a timestamp. However it seems to require the dates to be in the format MM/DD/YYYY?hh:mm:ss where ? is any character. Unfortunately my GPS, and therefore all the tracks I have uploaded use the format YYYY-MM-DDThh:mm:ssZ. Currently I use a regular expression to "fix" my gpx tracks so this isn't vital.

Moved to critical as the Mapchester weekend generated a lot of street sign image data. JOSM currently will not read the ISO formated GPX timestamp to associate with the differently date formatted Jpeg image
