It would be nice if timezone could be set from the settings, so that the dates in the site (changesets, diaries, messages, traces etc.) would use that setting. It probably should be defaulted to the timezone in of the home coordinates of the user, or sniffed from the browser, but should be possible to be changed from the settings.

It's an interesting idea, and thanks for suggesting it. However, it's a feature that we don't currently intend to implement, since it doesn't provide a large enough benefit for the amount of work involved.
