See attachment.

I was perfectly able to open this shapefile in merkaartor 0.13, but in 0.14 it won't show.

Fantastic!

Now I will wait for this version to become available for OpenSuse.

Thanks!

I reviewed the changeset and have another question:

I don't know if projection support in ggl is up to the same level as the OGR projection support, but basically you might consider to use the proj transformation functions?

As a GIS professional, OGR in combination with proj always does the trick for me.

I am now at Merkaartor revision 17818 from svn.

This time I get a dialog:

Caption: No Valid File
Message: "/media/disk-1/milo/Data/aruba/merkaartor-test.shp could not be opened."

Could you please test this file again and tell me what is wrong?

Nothing wrong, as far as I can see...

What other files have you in /media/disk-1/milo/Data/aruba/?

Are you sure it is not a plain permission problem?
