I am seeing a very strange behavior of merkaartor version 0.14. I have compiled it myself on Ubuntu Jaunty.
Every time I click on an object, the Properties panel becomes wider. It does not matter if it is docked in the main window or if it's separate. It keeps growing until it completely covers the map -- what then happens I don't know because then I can't click anymore :-)
It is not possible to make the window narrower by dragging the edge. I can only make it wider. The text of the properties window remains left justified.

I can add that if I quit the program and restart, it remembers the width it had before shutdown. However, it is possibly make the window narrow again if you drag it before having id'ed something.
