Hi all,
there is a school in Rome named "Liceo Classico Eugenio Montale" using 2 buildings. I put amenity=school on the 2 buildings and an extended mutipolygon relation with both buildings as outer members. The tag with the name of the school is on the relation since the school is one and the tag applies to both buildings. I guess it is the right way to map the situation.
Well the shool name is displayed in mapnik far from any reasonable position. I assume a reasonable position may be: on the largest of the two building areas, on the first building in the relation, in the middle of the 2 buildings. Instead the name is displayed on a side: it apperas to be a mapnik bug.

Not related to the subject, but I've heard that amenity=school and such should be used for marking and tagging entire school's territory, while buildings should be drawn separately. This would solve your particular case.
