Hi,
I have encountered a hard to fix problem with the planet dump and applying daily diffs to it. http://www.openstreetmap.org/browse/way/40900600 was created during planet dump and removed on the same day.
As a consequence this way is contained in the planet dump (which is ok for me), but there is no sign of it in the daily diffs, because they don't record objects which have been created and deleted within the diff timespan.
As a consequence this way stays in the data until everything is reloaded from a fresh planet dump.
Possible solutions:
Keep the delete in the daily diffs even if the create was within the same diff timespan
Make the planet dump consistent to the time of the start of the dump
