[Submitted to the original trac issue database at 3.42pm, Monday, 29th May 2006]

When downloading ways from the API they do not get sent in full. Something breaks along the way resulting in data like the example below. Segment numbers are returned correctly to a point, then one is truncated and no more are sent (eg 407117, 407118, 407120, 40).

This has been reported in the Java applet as well as JOSM, so is likely to be an API issue.
