The wiki http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Key:service#Railway documents ideologically good, but not supported tag separation to railway=* by type of track and to service=* to set impotance of track. I think impotant tracks should be drawn main boldness and main color on all zoom levels, unempotant 'spur' 'siding' etc. should be rendered thinner and/or grayed and/or on high zoom.

There is a highway=spur, rendered accordingly, but it breaks 'ideology' of separating things. No need to remove it, but to add render features correctly documented in wiki.

Examples of render:

http://tah.openstreetmap.org/Browse/slippy/?zoom=15&lat=55.73131&lon=37.39791&layers=BF - examle of mix of spur and yard tracks and main line tagged as described in wiki, with no need to be drawn as main line on lower zoom.

http://tah.openstreetmap.org/Browse/slippy/?zoom=15&lat=55.74622&lon=37.50824&layers=BF - example of on-ground piece of subway with yard (depo), tagged like normai subway, but example shows what only railway=yard is not enough to separate railway yard and subway yard and railway=* and subway=* are both needed.
