Look at [http://openstreetmap.cz/map.html?lat=50.755&lon=15.507&zoom=14&layers=0000BFFF czech OpenTracMap] (HQ version could be found [http://opentrackmap.no-ip.org/ here]), and at [http://www.openstreetmap.org/?lat=50.755&lon=15.507&zoom=14&layers=00B0FTF OpenCycleMap]. What do you think, gives you image of the terrain faster?
Cyclemap should be sketch in by shadows rather than height based color. It is much more illustrative and better looking.
