This is a bug in tiles@home (the tile rendering project using osmarender) not in osmarender itself.

Thanks for reporting. THese tiles are due to an invalid caption layer that has been uploaded.

These are not automatically regenerated. However in order to regenerate them, the t@h client needs access to the XAPI, which does not seem to respond at the moment.
(eg. http://www.informationfreeway.org/api/0.6/node[place=town|city|country][bbox=39.375000,45.895195,67.500000,62.364159]) does not seem to work, or only works in some of the cases.

I am afraid unless we get a XAPIlike service, I cannot really regenerate the caption tiles....

I became father this week, so my priorities are a bit different these days, but yes if XAPI is back and working I'll have a look at the captions soon.

XAPIis back up, that is good. I am sorry for the long delay, but I stopped being active in OSM, I just keep the server up and running and leave client issues to others.

There is no bug fix needed and everyone can upload good tilesets. I just ran

./tilesGen.pl xy 41 20 6

and uploaded the resulting tiles. You can see the caption at:
http://tah.openstreetmap.org/Browse/details/caption/6/41/20/ and the map is pretty now:
http://tah.openstreetmap.org/Browse/?layer=tile&z=6&x=41&y=20

(I'm doing the tile to the right, right now)

The next time some request finishes, the tile stitcher is going to merge it

Still "unknown type" tile on zoom=6

I have no T@H client software and don`t understand general.conf ond so on :) But I still see the problem...

Is this tile and underlayed tiles will be rerendered automatically later?

I fixed /6/41/20 yesterday, and tried for 2 hours to download the data for /6/42/20 which you point to and which also has broken captions. Despite waiting for 2 hours the download never finished. I am trying again today. XAPI is often a bit slow or does not respond at all... :-(

Thanks for the reminder, I hope the download will finish today...

Should work now. I am regenerating one caption tile, but it seems to have worked in general.
