When I save the changeset, I click on text field for comment, and start to write the comment.
The first char I type, is not captured and showed in text box

Works fine for me. Can you confirm exact sequence of mouse clicks/keypresses, Flash Player version, browser, OS etc. etc. etc.

The problem happen when the first char is C or S (viewing the source of changeset this char was "swallowed", and after this, is possible insert comment with C or S char for first.
Why? Is a shortcut for some function?)

My Flash Player is 10.0.32.18, Opera 10.10 the browser, OS Linux Kubuntu 9.10 (Karmic Koala)
The sequence for the bug:

  1. Open OSM and go to the modify, then select modify offline
  2. Modify something and then click on save
  3. click into the boxtext of the changeset, and try to typing a C or S char. The first time not show the key pressed, the second time the char is correctly showed

Indeed, yes. It's there so that if you press C to close changeset or S to save, your keypress doesn't get passed through to the textfield. I'll have a look at how to fix it when I have a minute.

While trying to reproduce bug#2501, I ran into this. 'c' is still a special character.

I believe the potlatch version that was in use when this bug was closed was 1.3. Potlatch is now up to version 1.4. Or does "next version" mean 2.x?

Note: this is after [C]losing the changeset.
