I did some mapping of the ski slopes in Font-Romeu (French Pyrenees) recently, and it seems that Osmarender is not very good at rendering the pistes that are defined as areas (closed ways). http://www.openstreetmap.org/?lat=42.52939&lon=2.03468&zoom=16&layers=0B00FTF has an example, with the "Tabaries" piste being unreadable. bobkare on IRC tells me that it's a matter of extending the stylesheet to deal with closed=yes/no properties, but that's way over my current level of familiarity with OSM. So Isubmit this ticket here, hoping for some goodwill from the gurus :-)
