[Submitted to the original trac issue database at 12.02am, Sunday, 24th January 2010]

User is now able to configure an image format using:

format=png
or
format=png256

for each layer that is configured in renderd.conf; this patch only implements functionality. A clean up on 'hardcoded' .png paths, and or the addition of this to the render protocol is outside the scope.

Note that the change in maxzoom to 19 slipped into this patch as well.
