As per http://matt.dev.openstreetmap.org/dupe_nodes/?zoom=15&lat=39.57042&lon=-104.97479&layers=BT

Probably needs a 'Glue' keypress, which will apply to the whole way if a way's selected, to a node only if that's selected.

Plus shift-G to unglue or something.

RichardF: there are lots of ways which have dupe nodes, but the dupes are just nodes with no tags sitting on top, potlatch doesn't grab those

for example: http://www.openstreetmap.org/edit?zoom=16&lat=39.84605&lon=-105.87064&layers=B

also if you have a way with a dupe node that is off screen, pan over to it, Potlatch grabs new data, it doesn't highlight the dupe

you have three ways intersecting, only two are loaded and the dupe is flashing. you hit j. then the third one is loaded, it starts flashing again, you hit j to de dupe it... then when it comes to upload it tries to deleted one of the duped nodes multiple times, fails, and keeps popping up saying 'already deleted'

Could maybe also use the inspector to see if a way is an exact dupe - i.e. if way1.path==way2.path
