[landcover] man_made=cutline does not render #2802
Comments
Author: TomH I assume you're talking about the mapnik layer... |
Author: mea_john yes, sorry my mistake... |
Author: steve8[at]mdx.ac.uk What is man_made=cutline? Can you explain and give a couple of URL examples please? |
Author: Ldp http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Tag:man_made%3Dcutline The suggested rendering of a 'dashed, black line' clashes with highway=path. An alternative approach is to cut the forest polygon so a gap is created at the place of such a cutline, probably filled with a grassy or bushy landuse tag. |

Author: Singvogel I am very happy to see that mapnik renders man_made=cutline now since I've tagged cutlines for some time already. However, I would make a suggestions: Currently, cutlines are rendered in white color and change their width with different zooms. For this reason they can easily be mistaken as unclassified roads which look almost the same in some zoom levels. I would suggest to render them like the background of tracks, |
Author: math1985 This issue is now being discussed on Github: gravitystorm/openstreetmap-carto#783 Therefore, I will close the issue here. |
