Not a rendering error, but rerendering error. Those tiles hadn't been rerendered since Feb 28, bottom part 2 hours apart from the upper part, and the data had probably changed between then.

After rerendering, it looks much better.

Checked twice, now appears Ok.

The origin of the problem might be?

The origin might be that the server only rerenders tiles that are being watched, and when the server is busy, it might take some minutes to rerender. If the server is really busy, the rerender request might even be dropped. Until it is rerendered, it will serve you an older version.

This is not a mapnik issue.

You can check when a tile has been rendered by finding the tile url (right mouse button, 'copy image location' or whatever it's called in your favourite browser), and paste that in the address bar with /status appended.
