#2924 closed defect (wontfix)

potlatch failure with gpsbabel created GPX file

Reported by: katzlbt Owned by: richard@…
Priority: trivial Milestone:
Component: potlatch (flash editor) Version: 1.0

Description

I had a CRC error downloading a GPX trace from my HOLUX tracker. I imported the file on OSM and potlatch draws gpx-trace colored solid areas on the map when going over the area. The areas vanish during dragging.

Unfortunately the GPX was accepted by OSM, so others may run into this error if loading the track.

Bad GPX (last point in the file): <trkpt lat="47.129062653" lon="-244730840028016846905956213471777390592.000000000"> <ele>nan</ele>

Surely this is an error in your GPS file and not in Potlatch? Garbage in, garbage out and all that. Suggest you delete your faulty file and upload a better one. :)
