[Submitted to the original trac issue database at 6.49am, Friday, 21st May 2010]

Sometimes when I upload, the server refuses it with this message:

There was an error uploading this request (500)
"TypeError: wrong argument type nil (expected String)"
Please redownload the problematic feature to handle the conflict.

There doesn't seem to be any way to upload after that, until a New File is started and the current edits discarded.

Actually, it seems that the upload is successful despite the reported error (a server bug, I guess?), but Merkaartor doesn't get given new versions, so everything now conflicts.

Sometimes when I retry, I get

There was an error uploading this request (400)
"Fatal error: Document is empty at :1."
Please redownload the problematic feature to handle the conflict.

Again, no idea how to avoid this.
