Author: steve8[at]mdx.ac.uk Have you a couple of URL/permalink examples and I'll have a look? |

Author: fluteflute This has been implemented [1]. I'm just wondering if this is really a good thing to implement. It's not documented on the wiki properly (although it is proposed and sort of approved [2]) My feeling is that because this will often/usually be intended to mean indoor pools (see wiki proposal), then rendering as water, rather than as a building will seem out of place. Perhaps as a compromise, if a building=yes tag is added, this would override the blue area rendering? [1] http://trac.openstreetmap.org/changeset/23359/applications/rendering/mapnik/osm.xml |
Author: steve8[at]mdx.ac.uk Good point. I will add that option. Hope people tag sensibly! Feel free to add to wiki |
Author: steve8[at]mdx.ac.uk Don't heed an addition. Have tested and the building=yes kicks in and renders the building colour as the fill, leaving a blue outline in place, which for an indoor swimming-pool seems a reasonable answer |
Author: NE2 Thanks. I didn't know that it wasn't documented properly, only that Osmarender already supports it. Would it be possible to show only the blue border when area=no is applied (for a "lazy river" style attraction: http://www.openstreetmap.org/browse/way/48586315)? Or is this not the right way to tag something like this? |

I'm not sure if it's worth it to render leisure=swimming_pool nodes, but areas should probably be shown as water.
