Description

Looking through past tickets I haven't seen this requested yet. While I think it's great that we have maritime boundaries in OSM now, it does look a bit strange to the average user (non OSM contributer) to have purple rings in the ocean around every piece of land. Many people may not even be aware that clearly defined boundaries exist in the ocean. Land boundaries are usually marked quite clearly with signs, customs checkpoints, and perhaps even walls or fences. In the ocean these markers generally do not exist, and I think this gives them a more nebulous nature in the public's mind.

I think the slippy map would look better if maritime borders were rendered in blue so they didn't stand out as much. I've attached a mockup. According to the wiki, maritime boundaries should all be specified with "maritime=yes", so I would think it should be possible to render them a different color.

Thank you for your consideration.
