The street name "Albrecht-Drer-Strae" is truncated here:
http://www.openstreetmap.org/?lat=48.125&lon=7.8225&zoom=17
see the right side of the crossing with "Erbweg".

Yes, I have seen the same thing with different labels which extend across tile borders. They are rendered on the tile which holds the center of the label but the part which extends onto the neighboring ones is not rendered.

This seems to occur mostly with collisions in which the centers of the colliding labels are on different tiles: both labels are rendered but truncated at the tile border.

It does not seem to be an update issue (one tile updated, the adjacent one not) as the error seems to persist even when both tiles are re-rendered.

It seems that the probability of having this bug is very high with big texts on very zoomed maps.

We need high-definition maps and for that we are using zoom 21 with 128 sized street names. There are a lot of street names that are truncated.

Will this bug be fixed in the future ?

If you render your own tiles, try setting a (much) larger buffer-size.

This is a known/accepted issue with mapnik rendering, and this particular instance is fixed anyway.
