I have tried to input a tag in a RTL language with Potlatch. When doing so, the glyphs do not join, so Arabic characters do not look properly connected, as if each one is written individually.

The current result: .

The desired result: .

Please see the attached screenshot. I originally thought this was a browser limitation, but it seems to be to specific to certain web-based applications, or input forms, such as Potlatch. Please let me know if you need any more data.

Also, I forgot to mention I do not the outcome on the renderer side. I only attempted this a few minutes ago, but it appears properly stored in the OSM database in the given the changeset #5954377. http://www.openstreetmap.org/browse/way/26598782

I presume this is a Flash Player limitation. Potlatch simply uses Flash Player's default TextField (and Potlatch 2 uses the equivalent within the Flex framework) for entering tags.

I don't have any experience at all in RTL text but if someone who does submits a patch, obviously we'd be happy to look at it!
