I think the redirect pages should be ignored - you can recognise them from the content which is just "#REDIRECT [[page]]".

There is something weird with the language codes. Some languages (like DE) are proper mediawiki namespaces. For them no redirects are needed. All different forms of capitalizing the letters work, they are all redirected to the all-uppercase form. Some languages are not, so people have been adding all those redirect pages. If the wiki software can do this by itself, the redirects should not be necessary.
Concerning othe redirects that are not related to the language code: Because there is no general rule how tags need to be written, Taginfo can't really know what a redirect means. A redirect could either mean: This is a valid tag, but the description is somewhere else. Or it can mean: This tag doesn't exist but because many people search for it under this name, we have put a redirect in here. I think the only way to solve this, is to not have redirects in those cases.
