We have divided highways (primary, secondary, tertiary, etc.) with two parallel ways going opposite directons (oneway=yes). Both ways have bike lanes (cycleway=lane). In reality, the bike lanes are on the outside (right) edge of each way, not in the middle.
Osmarender renders green stripes on both sides of each way, for a total four, including two in the middle. Example:
