I keep accidentally clicking 'edit' expecting to edit the diary entry when looking at my own entry (particularly if not logged in, so not seeing the 'Edit this entry' link)
Anyway map edit links like this are also of questionable usefulness. Launching straight into an edit session at a location without viewing it first. Symbolic perhaps, but not useful in practice
For both these reasons I'm suggesting it would be better to just link to the map view without providing an 'edit' link here

If you view a geolocated diary entry such as http://www.openstreetmap.org/user/Harry%20Wood/diary/13447 down at the bottom you get a 'View / Edit' link. Slightly annoying usability issue with this (a minor subtle thing)
