It seems odd to have the +/- zoom buttons on the right, not left. Top-left now seems to be a strong convention is which is therefore best not to work against if possible.
I certainly find myself continually moving my mouse to the left when needing to zoom, and
then realising this is wrong, which strongly suggests to me the current placement isn't right since it's against such a strong convention.
