The Yahoo background imagery does not have any visible difference between the checked and unchecked states of the "Sharpen" checkbox in the Background drop-down menu. This is the case at zoom levels 16 and 17; I have not checked it at other zoom levels.

Not fixable I'm afraid: the Yahoo API is completely different to Potlatch's own tile code and doesn't give us any opportunity to sharpen the images. As far as I'm concerned the sooner we can get shot of Yahoo the better.
